‘Involved’ is the association of Junior and Senior School parents
at Badminton School. The group has numerous aims: to create a supportive and
welcoming parental community; to work with the School to enrich the girls’
experience at Badminton; raise funds for charitable purposes and provide a
forum whereby parents can share their experiences and expertise with each other
and the School through educational events and other wider committees.
The Involved Steering Group meets termly to plan and organise
events for parents including social occasions that have recently included Wine
Tasting, Barbeques and the spectacular annual Summer Ball that takes place at
the end of the School year. Involved Parents are truly involved in the School;
they assist with various
School activities and events such as the Summer and Christmas community events,
the biannual Careers Fair, the Badminton Boardroom and they co-ordinate the
‘Nearly New’ Uniform Shop.
One of the main
passions of Involved is raising money for charity and for School enrichment
projects: those exciting purchases beyond the School’s general spend. Involved
has funded picnic benches, a giant chess set, bicycles for the Boarders,
specialist chairs for music students and even equipment for an adventure
playground, now fondly known as ‘The Rough Patch’, to name just a few.
is open to all parents at Badminton and is a fantastic way to get involved in
School life as much or as little as desired. It is a friendly and welcoming
group that would be only too pleased to chat to and support new parents as they
join the vibrant and inclusive Badminton community.
